As Sophia sat in front of the Forbidden Forest, she knew she wouldn't venture in there ever. Well, she would but not for less than her very best friend in danger. She had heard about many things lurking in the forest, trolls, werewolves (although they would only hurt her during the full moon she knew), and she's even heard rumors of giant spiders! She hated spiders; they were one of her biggest fears.
One of the more minor reasons she would go into the Forbidden Forest would be to see a unicorn. She had seen many pictures in books about unicorns and she thought they were beautiful. Graceful and fast; it was nearly impossible to catch one. They had so many uses; their hair and their horn were both used in potions class.
Sophia sometimes wondered what life had to be like for a unicorn. How boring to roam through the Forbidden Forest all day long. She wondered if they got into fights with the trolls, and she wondered who would win. Probably the unicorns. After all, they had the horns to help them win the fight.
Shaking her head, Sophia grabbed a bunch of the grass in her hand and tossed it to the side. The Forbidden Forest in front her was so dark, nearly angry. She wondered what else was in there besides unicorns. Nothing nearly as pretty. Of that she was sure.

Odysseus was wandering around the grounds, pretty much aimlessly. There was nothing to do really. Usually he would pratice his flying when he was bored, but he'd just got back from doing that for three hours with the rest of the team. So, for some reason, that option didn't look so appealing. Instead, he decided to go for a walk. It wasn't real great for getting rid of boredom, but at least it let him work out his legs after three hours in the air. From where he walked near the edge of the grounds, he could see pretty much everyone who had decided to come outside today. There were mostly Gryffindors, and a few Ravenclaws, and some of his own House, though most of them were his team mates, trying to cool off after that extra long practice session.
He was so busy looking over toward the castle, that he almost didn't see the young girl right in front of him. She was younger than he was, definitely, but he couldn't remember in what year. Yeah, way to forget someone in your own House. He knew she was a Hufflepuff, but couldn't remember who she was. How embarrassing, it made him feel bad. He never reacted to well to that.
"Oi, whatcha doin' so close the the forest? You waitin' for somethan to come up and eat you?" Oh, yeah, scold her why don't you. That'll go over well. Wasn't it great being the only Hufflepuff in history with no people skills? He cursed himself for not being able to think of anything better to say. Because, really, he was just as close to the forest as she was. Of course, he was more than a bit bigger than her, and actually was hoping something would pop out of the trees and try to eat him. At least then he wouldn't be so bored.
