Color coordination was key. That, among other things, was one of the things that Lily Evans believed above all. Now, while the N.E.W.T.s were so close, less than a school year away!, Lily was more determined than ever to keep things organized and to stay on top of her grades. If she was going to be a Healer, she would need top marks. After all, they didn't let just anybody take care of sick witches and wizards, at least she hoped.
Books were piled up in front of Lily, most of them were subjects she wouldn't even need today, but she liked having them around just in case they were needed. After all, going in and out of the library too many times would get her kicked out of the library by the ever-watchful Madam Pince. Even the head girl would get in trouble when it came to silence in the library.
"Dragon's blood, dragon's blood," Lily whispered to herself, tapping her cheek with her quill. With the books piled high and her mind focused on the essay in front of her, she wasn't paying attention the bustle of students around the place. She wasn't expecting to get distracted anyway. Most everybody knew better than to distract Lily while she was working. Unless they wanted to get yelled at or asked about something complex that they'd probably not learned yet. Suffice to say, it was better not to interrupt her while she was working.
Of course, some people were just brave enough to disregard that.

It wasn't unusual to find Remus Lupin in the library, admittedly, but what was relatively unusual was the run-down appearance that he was sporting. The term relatively is used very loosely here, as truly, the look could be found upon his face for a few days out of every month, though he normally did not socialise more than necessary during that time. Today though, he felt restless, and staying alone in the dormitory was just not sitting well with the young werewolf.
He held a few books already, and continued to scan the shelves for more. He was focussing on the care of magical creatures section, finding the irony of such a subject amusing, and the fact that he planned a future career in it even more so. Balancing the stack of books upon first one arm, and then the other, the boy pushed his rolled up sleeves up a little further, making sure that they were out of the way, before impulsively reaching for a book dedicated to lycanthropy. Call me a masochist if you will... he mused, sighing to himself as he stepped away from the shelves and scanned the room for a table.
The shock of familiar red hair pulled Remus' attention towards Lily Evans, and he smiled, making his way towards her table. He liked Lily - James' girlfriend was studious, much as Remus was himself, and she made his friend happy. What was not to like? Granted, she could be a firecracker if annoyed, but Moony was hardly planning on ticking her off.
He was a few steps from her table when the mumble of "Dragon's blood, dragon's blood" left her lips, and he glanced over her shoulder as he moved to the seat opposite, catching some of the titles of the books stacked before her. "This might be of use," he suggested calmly, picking out one of the books in his arms and laying it down atop the pile. It concerned dragons and the properties of ingredients derived from them, though it was rather an old tome, the title far from legible. Sliding into a seat, he cast a smile towards the redhead, placing the remainder of his books on his side of the table. "Mind if I join you?"

Lily looked over as the obviously old book on dragons was set down on the table. Wondering who had suggested it, something that would tell if Lily would trust enough to pick it up, she looked up, smiling when she saw Remus. "This might be of use," he said and she smiled, grabbing the book and putting it in her stack. Yes, she could trust Remus because he, unlike some, actually knew what he was talking about.
"Mind if I join you?" he asked and she shook her head, moving her papers just barely so that he would have more room. "Of course not. Especially if you bring me presents," she answered teasingly, making sure to keep her voice down as she glanced over and saw Madam Pince roaming the aisles.
Looking over the books that Remus had set down, Lily tilted her head to the side. "Quite a collection you have there. Planning another trip to the forbidden forest with James, Sirius, and Peter and wanting to know what you're going to encounter?" she asked, teasing again as she read through the titles. "I heard a whisper around the corridors that there's a giant spider somewhere in there. That, of course, can't be true. At least I hope."

Remus returned Lily's smile, appreciating the acceptance of the book for the odd complement that it was. He had always been on better terms with the redhead than certain other members of their group, (*cough*SIRUS*cough*) and as such, he understood that the gesture signified some degree of trust in his intellect.
He chuckled at her comment, before following her glance towards Madam Prince, earning himself a sharp glance from the librarian. Turning back to Lily, he consciously quieted his already hushed laughter, and rolled his eyes.
He blinked at her comment about his selection of books, before shaking off his mild moment of panic and winking. "Ahh, but Miss Evans," he teased, brown eyes sparkling with amusement. "Now that would be telling! Besides, you only ask so that you can harass our poor Jamie over it," he said, while surreptitiously removing the book on werewolves from the main pile, slipping it behind another.
Very clever, Moony, he mentally chastised himself. Let's just wave your big secret around for the whole library to see, shall we? Praying that she hadn't noticed that particular book, Remus pulled down a more general volume concerning magical quadrupeds. "Nar," he said now, shrugging. "I'm actually considering looking for some kind of career with magical creatures, so that's what all this is for," he finished, nodding to the books.
The young werewolf cocked his head to the side curiously as Lily brought up something about a giant spider. "Really?" he asked, frowning. "Now that's one I've not heard of yet. But I'm sure you're right. It surely couldn't be true." Smiling again, Remus indicated towards Lily's stack of books with a nod of the head. "Essay is it? Or revision?"
